The beloved Nigerian celebrities mentioned below are not alive to enjoy this time with us because they were involved in fatal accidents, some were not due to their fault but in these accidents they still passed away.

Please remember to say a prayer for family members. Can God carry on consoling them.


Lucky Igbinedion, former Governor of Edo, lost his son in a horrible car accident in America in February 2019.

Osaretin Igbinedion, Chief Lucky Igbinedion’s 23-year-old second son, and his nephew Esosa Oyemwense (21 years old) died in a fatal automobile accident in Texas, USA around 3 am February 16 when their car collided with an 18 wheeler.

The son of the former governor graduated from the College of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in marketing, and a minor in economics. He also bagged Northeastern University for a Masters degree in International Management.


Nollywood actor Oliver Duke alias Sylvanus of the Do-good comedy series died after a car crash from Eket on his way back to Lagos, Akwa Ibom having attended the burial of his mother.

Sylvanus died of injuries which he suffered in the April 2019 fatal crash.


Koko Mansion reality TV star, Chidinma Mbalaso rose to fame after she became the second runner up in the reality TV show Koko Mansion 2009 organized by Nigerian music icon, Dbanj. 

University of Abuja’s 200-level undergraduate died at the age of 22 on March 25, 2011, following a ghastly motor accident on her way back from Kaduna to Abuja. Chidinma had traveled to Kaduna to pick up her vehicle, her first vehicle, but died before she was able to get home with the car.

A motorcyclist had driven into her lane suddenly, and she lost control of the car while trying to avoid hitting the motorcyclist. According to reports Chidinma was rushed to the hospital. She had been in a coma and needed blood, but died after an inability to get matching blood in time, before help could arrive.


MC Loph and his elder sister were on their way to his village for their traditional marriage when their car suffered a ghastly car accident and died.

They died on September 14 2011.

MC Loph was identified on September 14th 2011 for the song Osondi Owendi feat Flavour died. Eye witness said that on that black Wednesday afternoon, the talented rapper ran into a huge pothole, skidded off the road and fell into a ditch. MC Loph’s fiancee who was later pregnant bore a son. MC Loph died at the age of 38.


JT Tom West’s career aspirations were sadly cut short when he died in a fatal auto accident at the age of 41 while returning after a late-night shoot from a film location.

JT Tom West died September 28 2006.


Owner of Koga Studios Chris Jeyibo died in a car accident after his white Range Rover SUV rammed into a parked truck in the early hours of Friday 7 October along the road to Magodo, Lagos.

The media expert was on his way home when the tragic incident happened.


Beloved rapper Dagrin of Nigeria died at 6 pm. On Thursday 22 April 2010, exactly eight days after Alakara Police Station, off Age Motor Lane, Mushin, Lagos, had been involved in a ghastly motor accident..whose real name was Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun died when she was 22 years old.


The Nigerian entertainment industry suffered a tragic loss on March 24, 2011, as fast-rising comedian Chijioke John, best known as CD John, was pronounced dead.

He went on at St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos after a fatal car crash while returning from Harrysong’s debut album listening party in a three-car convoy including a Gulder Ultimate Quest Season 7 winner Kunle Oluwaremi.


Nollywood actor Ceejay Perez has died in a fatal car accident in Onitsha, State of Anambra. The crash occurred when the driver lost control and crashed into a drainage.

Perez and four other car occupants died at the scene. Perez, who hailed from Isuofia in Anambra State, featured in some films made in Asaba, Delta State, before his untimely death. He died April 1st, 2016.


Afrobeats singer Juggernaut signed under the record label of Seun Kuti, Black Haus Entertainment died in the early hours of Sunday 30 September 2018, when the car he was driving rammed into a truck that emitted smoke from its exhaust, but did not have a working rear light.

The rapper, whose full name is Egbeoluwa Ademilade, was buried on Tuesday, October 2 2018. 


Ahmed Ishola Durojaiye, the actor of Yoruba, popularly known as Alasari, died on 20 March 2011 at the Federal Medical Center (FMC), Abeokuta, where he was treated following a ghastly accident involving him along the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.

Durojaiye was on his way to Abeokuta to promote his upcoming film, Omo Night Club, when he encountered his untimely death. Five years later, one of the late actor’s widows, Adeola also passed on after a motor accident on Friday, April 22, 2016.Reports claim Adeola jumped out of a commercial motorcycle, popularly named Okada, when an oncoming truck struck her from behind. “The truck hit the woman from behind, as she tried to disembark from an Okada, according to an eyewitness. She just died.


Nollywood actor and film producer Friday Ugwu popularly named “Okaka De Don” was coming back from a club when he and his friend were run over by a truck and crushed to death.

This happened on a Saturday night in September 2017 along Lagos-Badagry road.
